Sharjah24: Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council, received a delegation from Elizabeth School in the United Kingdom, which is currently visiting the UAE. The meeting, which took place yesterday morning at the Council's headquarters, was attended by Sheikha Ali Al Naqbi, a member of the Consultative Council and Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Culture, and Media Affairs, and Dr. Hindi Al Hajri, a member of the Sharjah Consultative Council.
During the meeting, both parties discussed several issues of mutual interest in the fields of education and teaching. The delegation provided an overview of Elizabeth School’s educational system, its policies for curriculum development, and its efforts to support educational competencies, as well as its programs aimed at developing students' personal and creative skills.
The British delegation also highlighted the importance of innovation in teaching methods and its role in preparing students for the future.
In turn, Dr. Nuaimi emphasised Sharjah's commitment to enhancing academic cooperation with international educational institutions and adopting best educational practices. He pointed out that such visits present an opportunity to benefit from global expertise and develop policies that align with Sharjah's vision and future aspirations.
For her part, Sheikha Ali Al Naqbi noted that this visit opens the door to further educational cooperation between Sharjah and the United Kingdom, aiming to strengthen cultural and intellectual exchange that contributes to the development of curricula and enhances students' creativity and excellence.
The British delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and praised the efforts of the Sharjah Consultative Council in adopting various policies that aim to create a sustainable educational environment that meets the needs of the next generation of students. They also expressed their hopes for further fruitful cooperation between the two sides in the future.
