Sharjah 24: Saif Al Obaidli, Project Manager at the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority (SFRA), announced the participation of 15 divers, both professional and amateur, in the “Together to Preserve the Marine Environment” campaign. The authority organised the campaign with the participation of several governmental and private entities to enhance environmental and community awareness.
He explained that the “Together to Preserve the Marine Environment” campaign saw the participation of 7 government entities, 2 private entities, and 35 students. It included cleaning Al Hamriyah Beach's creek and seabed with the participation of divers from the Sharjah Marine International Sports Club and Al Jazeera Diving and Swimming Centre, as part of the authority’s efforts to care for the marine environment and enhance the community’s role in preserving marine life and contributing to the sustainability of biodiversity.
He added, in statements to "Sharjah 24", that the participation of school students in the campaign aims to instill a love of volunteering and preserving the environment, and to increase their awareness of the importance of protecting marine resources from pollution, noting that the authority's efforts are continuing to raise community awareness, clean the environment, and publish scientific research and studies.
