Sharjah24: The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in Sharjah has organised an employment fair aimed at linking graduates and prospective graduates with industry representatives from diverse fields. This initiative is in collaboration with the UAE Competitiveness Council (NAFES), the Sharjah Human Resources Department, and The Fifth Element Academy.
Over 80 local and international organisations from both the public and private sectors participated in the event, which attracted more than 900 students and graduates.
Participating companies offered full-time and part-time employment opportunities, as well as internships across various sectors.
The event focused on empowering attendees by connecting them with appropriate job opportunities that meet with HCT's programs and specialisations, while also providing on-the-spot interviews. Furthermore, students acquired valuable insights into the essential skills and knowledge needed in the current job market, as well as professional training opportunities to enhance their practical experience.
The job fair highlighted a display of student projects spanning multiple disciplines, with a particular emphasis on health sciences, education, engineering, and computer science. This presentation provided insights for industry professionals into the practical aspects of HCT's academic programs, showcasing how students and graduates acquire vital skills relevant to contemporary careers and technological progress. The projects highlighted students’ ability to provide innovative solutions to actual obstacles in their fields, emphasising their importance in today’s job market.
