Sharjah24: Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi led the Board of Directors of Sharjah Charity International to its regular meeting on Tuesday at the organization's headquarters in Samnan. The meeting addressed various internal and external issues concerning the charity's operations.
At the beginning of the meeting, the board conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unwavering support and contributions to the charitable initiatives in the emirate. His contributions have significantly improved the charity’s initiatives.
The board subsequently approved the minutes from the previous meeting and assessed the preparations for the tenth mass wedding, scheduled to take place in early December under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
The meeting also addressed the remarkable achievement of the "UAE With You, Lebanon" campaign, which gathered a quarter of a million tonnes of relief packages in merely one day.
This accomplishment demonstrates the organization's ability to execute extensive campaigns with support from its partners. Additionally, the board assessed the advancement of development projects, which encompassed updates to the charity’s website and the introduction of a mobile application. Discussions also included plans to expand the smart donation devices.
The board reached a consensus to enhance the funding for assistance in response to the rising volume of requests, especially in the areas of education and healthcare, which are vital to the charity’s empowerment strategy. The conversation also addressed investment lands, emphasizing the necessity of transforming them into appropriate commercial or residential developments to facilitate future charitable endeavours.
The meeting wrapped up with heartfelt gratitude expressed to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi for his unwavering support, as the board committed to providing assistance to those in need without fail.
The meeting saw the participation of board members, including Mohammed Rashid bin Biyat, Vice Chairman, Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, and Dr Yaqoub Ali Saeed Khalaf Al Naqbi.
