Parents Council organizes forum for parents in Al Batayeh

Sharjah24: The Parents Council in the Central Region, organized the fourth forum for parents in Batayeh area, following three previous forums held in Al-Dhaid, Al Mleiha, and Al Mudam.
The forum was attended by prominent community figures from the Central Region of Sharjah, led by His Excellency Rashid Abdullah Al-Muhayan, Chairman of the Council; His Excellency Hamad Salem Al-Ketbi, Chairman of the Al Batayeh Club; and Maan Saeed Al-Durmaki, Director of the Parent Councils Department at the Suburb Affairs Department, along with several parents and students. The dialogue was moderated by Dr. Media Saeed Obaid Al-Tuniji, a member of the council.

The forum is part of a series of meetings aimed at building communication bridges between families and schools and enhancing effective partnerships to achieve common educational goals. Discussions focused on several important themes aimed at improving the educational environment and supporting students in achieving their academic and professional goals.

In his speech, His Excellency Rashid Abdullah Al-Muhayan emphasized the importance of good manners and their role in building the character of children. He stressed that morals and values are the foundation on which we must raise future generations, affirming that families and schools must work together to ensure the upbringing of a generation that possesses good morals and behaviors reflecting its authentic Emirati identity.

His Excellency Hamad Salem Al-Ketbi, Chairman of the Al Batayeh Club, highlighted the importance of the club's role in supporting the local community and expressed the club's readiness to cooperate with the Council of Parents on any initiatives that contribute to enhancing education and moral values among youth. He thanked the Council for organizing this forum, confirming that the club would be an active partner in supporting the sound upbringing of students.

Dr. Saeed Al-Lith discussed the family’s crucial role in raising children, affirming that the family is the foundation for building a child's character and the importance of filial piety as a core value that should be instilled in students. He noted that education is not just about guidance but involves continuous communication between parents and students.

For his part, Maan Saeed Al-Durmaki, Director of the Parent Councils Department, emphasized the importance of education as the backbone of community development. He confirmed that schools and parents play a pivotal role in providing a stimulating educational environment that contributes to the academic and professional development of students, urging the maximization of available educational opportunities.

The forum addressed several themes, including the school's role in enhancing academic achievement and preparing students for the job market. It discussed the importance of the school in preparing students for academic and professional success, focusing on the significance of educational programs and career guidance that help prepare students for the labor market.

The importance of the parent's role in supporting home education and collaborating with the school was also highlighted. Attendees discussed how to enhance communication between parents and schools to ensure regular follow-up on their children and support home education daily.

The forum also touched on the role of parent councils in promoting cooperation between schools and families in the region, focusing on the importance of parent councils in enhancing the partnership between schools and the local community to improve the quality of education and encourage community initiatives that support the educational environment.

Discussions also covered how the local community can contribute to supporting education through financial and moral support for schools and encouraging community initiatives that help provide additional learning opportunities for students.
