Sharjah 24: Mohammed Salem bin Ghashim Al Ketbi, Board Member of Al Batayeh Cultural and Sports Club, stated that the third week of the “Sharjah Summer Sports – Our Holiday is Different” programme was held under the theme “I Am the Community” at Al Batayeh Club, with the participation of 215 young people from the local area.

The week featured a wide range of purposeful events, workshops, and community-based activities in collaboration with government institutions, aimed at reinforcing the values of solidarity and mutual support within the community.

Workshops Promote Cultural and Social Awareness

Al Batayeh Cultural and Sports Club organised numerous cultural and social workshops as part of the third week’s activities under the “I Am the Community” theme, under the patronage of the Sharjah Sports Council.

Strong Community Participation Across Age Groups

Mohammed Salem bin Ghashim Al Ketbi affirmed that the activities drew strong interest from local families, with 215 participants from various age groups taking part.

Collaborative Efforts with Social Foundations

Speaking to “Sharjah 24,” Al Ketbi added that the third week included several workshops, lectures, and community activities organised in collaboration with prominent institutions such as The Big Heart Foundation and Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation.

These aimed to familiarise participants with community initiatives like “Prophet’s Neighbours”, which fosters values of compassion and giving within society.
