Sharjah 24: Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, the Director General of FANN Sharjah, announced that the 11th edition of the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF) commenced, on Sunday and will continue for six days, showcasing 90 films from 70 countries worldwide. The festival will feature panel discussions, workshops, and a variety of activities.
She informed "Sharjah 24" about the planned school visits during the morning sessions, where they will honour several artists, including Jaber Naghmoosh from the UAE, Yousra from Egypt, and Hoda Hussein from Kuwait. This year's guest of honour is the State of Palestine, which will host a special "Palestinian Day" on Wednesday. She said: "We will showcase Palestinian films and hold discussions on the customs and traditions of Palestine on this day. We have scheduled the celebration of Palestine for 9 October, God willing."
