Sharjah24: As part of the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation’s commitment to its community role and its efforts to promote women's participation in sports, the foundation announced the opening of the specialized sports facilities at the Sharjah Women's Sports Olympic Centre in Al Falah for all age groups of women and young girls, both citizens and residents, within paid sports packages.
This decision allows women to benefit from the center's modern and state-of-the-art facilities, which have been equipped according to the highest global standards and are supervised by specialized trainers, making it an ideal destination for exercising in a safe and encouraging environment.
The center, inaugurated earlier this year by the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, includes a variety of buildings, sports halls, and both open and closed courts. These facilities feature a dedicated building for martial arts such as taekwondo, judo, and karate, as well as halls for fencing and both indoor and outdoor archery ranges. The center also boasts an Olympic athletics track, the first of its kind in the country in terms of services, making it a comprehensive environment to support physical fitness and sports development.
This initiative aims to enhance the role of sports in women's lives and encourage the community to adopt healthy and active lifestyles by providing women the opportunity to utilize these advanced facilities.
