Sharjah 24: Khor Fakkan made a remarkable comeback, defeating Al Wasl 4-3 after trailing 1-3 in an exhilarating match at Zabeel Stadium during the fifth round of the Adnoc Pro League.
Khor Fakkan's victory has brought their points total to six, while the reigning champions Al Wasl remain at seven.
Al Wasl gained the advantage in the 15th minute with a goal from Alexis Perez, but Khor Fakkan swiftly levelled the score with an equaliser from Omar Keita just four minutes later. Al Wasl took the lead again with a goal from Nicolas Gimenez in the 22nd minute, and Khor Fakkan's Abdullah Al Rifai extended their advantage with an own goal in the 37th minute.
Nonetheless, Khor Fakkan took advantage of Al Wasl's reduced numbers following the dismissal of Malek Jannabir. Pedro Javier scored Khor Fakkan's second goal in the 62nd minute, followed by Matheus de Andrade's third goal in the 67th minute. Saeed Abdullah, coming off the bench, capped off the impressive comeback by scoring the winning goal in the 82nd minute.
