Sharjah RTA and Camel Racing Club Collaborate on Track Upgrades

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) held a joint meeting with the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, chaired by Yousef Khamis Mohammed Al Othmani, Chairman of the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, and H.E. Abdullah Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club. Mohammed Khamis Al Ketbi and Mohammed Awad Khassouni Al Ketbi, board members of the club, as well as Engineer Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the Roads Maintenance Department at the RTA, also attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation, as well as the grading and paving of the internal and external roads for the 6-kilometer camel racing track at the Al Dhaid racecourse. This is to be done with speed, efficiency, and according to the highest standards. Several other topics of mutual interest were also discussed, focusing on fostering collaboration and strengthening joint efforts to build strong partnerships.

Al Othmani emphasised the continuous commitment of the Sharjah RTA to support and provide services that benefit the Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track and the club’s facilities. This is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to deliver all necessary services to the racecourse and the club promptly, with high efficiency and quality.

Abdullah bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi expressed his gratitude to the Sharjah RTA for providing the opportunity for the Camel Racing Club to discuss various issues related to the condition of the Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track. He praised the cooperation of the RTA's leadership and staff in their dedication to offering comprehensive services to the racecourse.
