Sharjah 24: Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage in Dubai received a delegation of winners of the 24th edition of Sharjah Award for Library Literature, (SALL) organised by Sharjah Public Libraries Department of the Sharjah Book Authority.
The delegation included the winners of the “Best Research” category, Dr. Ibrahim Abdel Hadi, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Alexandria University, who won first place; Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Karthio, who won second place; and Dr. Ihdaa Salah Naji, Assistant Professor of Libraries at Cairo University, who won third place.
The delegation was received by Dr. Mohamed Kamel Gad, Director General of the Centre; Ms. Sheikha Abdullah Al Mutairi, Head of the National Culture and Public Relations Departments; Mr. Riyad Taher, Head of the Artistic Processing Department; and Mr. Anwar Al Dhaheri, Head of the Public Relations Division at the Centre.
The Director General of the Centre welcomed the guests and spoke with them about the role played by the Centre in preserving human heritage. The delegation then toured the Centre’s departments, starting with the “Journey of Giving” exhibition and ending in the Manuscripts Department.
At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked the Centre for its warm welcome, and the Centre presented the guests with books from its publications.
