Sharjah 24: As part of its efforts to promote the Arabic language and support national talent, Sharjah's Arabic Language Academy (ALA), in collaboration with the Sharjah Academy of Police Science, completed an intensive training course for employees from four government institutions in the Emirate, on Wednesday.
Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Athmni, Director-General of the Sharjah Academy  of Police Science, and Dr. Mohammed Safi Mustghanmi, Secretary General of the Sharjah Arabic Language Academy, attended the training.

24 trainees from Sharjah Police, the Sharjah Academy of Police Science, the General Command of the Amiri Guard, and the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority attended the six-day training course, which took place in two sessions (16-18 and 23-25 September).

The objective of the class was to improve participants' Arabic language abilities, communication skills, and administrative capabilities, thereby contributing to the efficiency of government work in the Emirate. Topics covered included grammar, morphology, spelling, punctuation, and administrative correspondence.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Mustghanmi emphasised the Academy's commitment to improving Arabic usage in government activities and meeting the demands of national cadres across sectors.

He emphasised that mastering Arabic is a constant learning process and that this course serves as a springboard and motivation for learners to continue concentrating on the language.

Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Athmni thanked the Academy for its efforts in introducing the course and emphasised the significance of boosting Arabic language skills among personnel in critical areas like the Sharjah Police Academy and other participating institutions.

The course comprised multiple sessions on the essentials of Arabic grammar, morphology, and spelling, as well as interactive exercises taught by Academy-trained Arabic language and literature specialists.
