Sharjah24: Salah Obaid Al Tunaiji, Director of the Al Dhaid Cultural Center and member of the organizing committee for the Kalba Short Play Festival, stated that the festival is held with the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to nurture and refine the talents of young people.
In an exclusive interview with "Sharjah 24," Al Tunaiji explained that the festival has seen wide participation from young creatives, aiming to provide them with an opportunity to showcase their theatrical talents and address their questions about the stage. The festival will take place from September 27 to October 1 at the Kalba Cultural Center.

He added that the festival includes workshops led by a select group of specialists, guiding participants and enhancing their artistic skills. Al-Tunaiji noted that since its launch in 2012, the festival has experienced growing interest each year, with a noticeable rise in creativity.

The festival aims to support local and international young talent, offering an interactive environment for talent development and enhancing their presence in the theatrical scene. This year's festival will feature 12 performances, including "The Guest" by director Mohammed Abdullah, "The Thirst Song" by Hakoub Eid, "For My Son" by Massinisa Labat, "Good Morning" by Jassim Al-Tamimi, "The Other Face" by Mariam Al-Zarouni, "The Farewell Song" by Talal Qamber, "Thirst" by Jassim Al-Marashda, "The Formal Suit" by Eyas Khodour, "Shakespearean" by Faisal Mousa, "Lucky Employee" by Mohammed Noor Bassam, "Undisclosed" by Khalid Mohammed Al-Haddad, and "The Refuge" by Jassim Gharib.
