The MoU outlines a collaborative framework between the two parties, focusing on medical research, consultancy, academic studies, and the organization of conferences, workshops, and seminars. It also emphasizes joint clinical and translational research activities, while establishing academic and training programs for students, faculty, and staff. Furthermore, the MoU aims to enhance access to shared resources, facilities, and educational expertise to support these initiatives.
Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies at UOS, pointed out that the collaboration with Burjeel Holdings will contribute to the development of medical and health research. It will also enhance the practical skills and experiences of students by providing internship opportunities, thereby preparing a generation of healthcare specialists to serve the community.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Rabih Halwani, Acting Director of the Institute of Medical and Health Sciences Research, and Dr. Noura Alkarbi, Head of Research Outreach Department, UOS.
