Sharjah 24: The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Qasimia University hosted a seminar titled "UAE: A Nation of Peace" to highlight the UAE's important efforts to promote peace and tolerance on a regional and worldwide scale. We conducted the event in honour of the International Day of Peace.
The seminar focused on the UAE's attempts to promote a culture of peace, as well as the participants' thoughts on the relevance of these principles in creating a cohesive and stable community. Various poems and essays underlined that the UAE is more than simply a nation; it is also a paradigm for encouraging cultural tolerance and mutual respect.
The seminar included famous poet and writer Abdullah Al Hadiya and Dr Abdul Karim Othman, Dean of the faculty of the Holy Qur'an, with Professor Dr Khalil Al Rafu from the faculty of Arts and Humanities serving as moderator. Dr Abdullah Al Hadiya presented a poem on peace, stressing the UAE's efforts to promote peace and cultivate peaceful communication throughout the world.
Al Qasimia University students Yusuf Bollo from the faculty of Communication and Taiba Khalil from the faculty of Arts and Humanities both submitted poetry on peace. They agreed that the UAE is a global example for encouraging tolerance and peaceful coexistence, owing to its vision based on peace and cultural variety.
