Sharjah24: A scientific seminar held by the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, in partnership with the Lebanon-based academy, has called for enhanced collaboration among academic institutions and linguistic research centres throughout the Arab world. A recent event in Tripoli, Lebanon, highlighted the significance of collaborative research initiatives aimed at discovering new aspects of the Arabic language. The gathering focused on improving cross-cultural communication through translation and comparative studies.
The seminar also highlighted the need for specialised training programs to prepare professionals in the field of historical lexicons, equipping them with the necessary skills to analyse and document ancient linguistic texts.
The event, named "The Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language: A Bridge Between Past and Future," showcased a series of lectures that highlighted the importance of the dictionary as a groundbreaking initiative in preserving Arabic linguistic heritage and its contribution to comprehending the language's evolution.
