Liad Aviel, spokesman for the Asaf Harofe Medical Centre in central Israel, said it "mourns the deaths of four individuals injured in the Ramla incident", adding that six other casualties were receiving treatment there.
Israeli police have launched an investigation into an explosion suspected to be tied to a "criminal conflict between crime families in an Arab neighborhood."
Magen David Adom, Israel's emergency medical service, reported that the explosion occurred in a parked vehicle near a store and residential building in Ramla. Several bystanders were injured by the blast and shrapnel, said rescue worker Benny Cohen.
"The burning car blocked the store entrance, preventing people inside from escaping," Cohen explained. "We moved the injured away from the fire, and our teams began resuscitation efforts, transporting the victims to hospitals in critical condition."
