Sharjah24: The Archery Team from the Sharjah Women's Sports Club (SWSC) secured a total of 16 medals at the UAE Archery League Preparatory Tournament, held over two days at the Police Science Academy in Sharjah. The team secured 6 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals, showcasing their preparedness for the forthcoming season.
The tournament showcased a variety of clubs, with notable participation from Sharjah Women’s Sports Club, Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, Al Bataeh Cultural and Sports Club, D'Archers, Abu Dhabi Archery Club, Sharjah Sports Club, the Sharjah Royal Guard, and Fujairah Sports Club.
Competitions took place for participants of all age groups, ranging from 12 years to over 21.
Belqees Al Shehhi, Head of the Individual Games Department at Sharjah Women's Sports, emphasised the significance of the tournament for both the club's athletes and all teams involved. The event was highlighted as particularly advantageous for the coaching staff, offering a crucial opportunity to evaluate the technical performance of the teams in preparation for the upcoming season.
Al Shehhi expressed her satisfaction with the Sharjah Women's Sports Club archery team's performance, stressing that the coaching staff had gained valuable insights into the team’s strengths and areas that need improvement.
