Public, private sector partnerships strengthened by communication

Hamad Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, highlighted that effective government communication is essential for fostering trust with investors and the public by offering precise and transparent information about investment opportunities and economic trends. He also noted that the economic development departments in the United Arab Emirates are actively addressing this need.

Al Mahmoud further pointed out that effective government communication also plays a significant role in solidifying the partnership between the public and private sectors to improve the attractiveness and sustainability of investments and to work towards sustainable development goals.

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized the importance of effective government communication in building trust with investors. He highlighted the need for transparent information on investment policies and opportunities to foster trust. Al Awadhi suggested that governments should utilize various platforms to engage with investors and provide clarity on economic trends in order to attract investments and stimulate economic growth.

Furthermore, Al Awadhi emphasized the significance of mutual trust between governments and government communication institutions. He pointed out that the Government Communication Forum plays a crucial role in fostering this trust through strategic partnerships and by providing accurate and transparent information, including numbers and statistics. This data serves as the foundation for government agencies in developing their strategic plans and programs.

He pointed out that experts and specialists, during their participation in the forum's activities, present the essence of their experiences that will contribute to enhancing this confidence.

Ali Al Hosani, the Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, emphasized that the exchange of information between teachers and students is crucial in the learning process. He highlighted the significance of teachers utilizing diverse teaching methods to effectively convey information and concepts to students. 

Al Hosani also emphasized continuous communication and collaboration within the educational community to enhance students' skills.

Hussain Al Mahmoudi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park, emphasized the crucial role of communication in strengthening ties between governments and their societal partners. He highlighted that communication methods are continuously advancing, with the International Government Communication Forum playing a significant part in raising awareness, implementing best practices, fostering partnerships across various sectors, and refining the government's messages to effectively reach different segments of society.

He underscored that innovative government communication isn't a mere luxury but rather a necessity to keep up with the rapid changes in public preferences and communication channels. Innovative communication strategies enable governments to engage a broader and more diverse audience, as well as facilitate citizens' interaction with government messages. He also noted that innovation can encompass leveraging new technologies, creating tailored content for different groups, and improving direct interaction methods.
