On this occasion, Fatima Mousa Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Award, emphasised that the "Record Award for Volunteer Hours" is one of the Sharjah Awards for Voluntary Work, reflecting the award's commitment to encouraging and honouring generosity and dedication to community service.

The "Record Award" bases its evaluation of entries on the number of volunteer hours contributed by volunteers in various opportunities and volunteer activities, provided that these activities are distributed throughout the year and that the number of hours exceeds those recorded by the winner in the previous edition.

She added that this award underscores the importance of voluntary efforts in sustaining volunteerism and enhancing its impact on the community, especially with the efforts made by different volunteer groups from institutions and individuals.
