In alignment with these initiatives, Sharjah Ladies Club and its eight branches in the Central and Eastern Regions are gearing up to commemorate Emirati Women’s Day by setting up a comprehensive programme encompassing workshops, interactive sessions, physical training sessions, and exclusive promotions offered by all the club’s amenities and branches.
Khawla Al Serkal, the Director General of SLC, affirmed the significance of Emirati Women’s Day as a celebration of women and their accomplishments across various domains, particularly in leadership, emphasizing the role of women in advancing the country's progress and development.
Al Serkal stated that the club aims to enhance the leadership role of Emirati women and hone their skills through programs, events, and services provided in a unique and comprehensive environment, in line with the responsibility and vision of Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of Sharjah Ladies Club.
The primary branch will host a series of events, commencing with the "Fitness Center 180" event on August 28. The event will feature a discussion with fitness trainer Manal Abdullah focusing on the accomplishments of Emirati women in the realm of physical fitness. Additionally, there will be a group fitness session aimed at promoting physical movement and sports activities.
The upcoming dialogue session, in collaboration with the Federal National Council, will focus on the significance of Emirati Women’s Day. Najla Ali Al Shamsi, a member of the Federal National Council, discusses the importance of Emirati women's representation in the Council and the selection of August 28 to honor their influential role at the international, regional, and local levels. The session will also highlight their crucial role in promoting national unity and nurturing a new generation capable of confronting challenges and fostering stability.
The club will host a Talli bracelet weaving workshop by the Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council on August 29 to conserve Emirati heritage. This traditional craft has a history spanning 35 years.
The event is backed by Al Nabooda Automobiles with Audi as a key sponsor, and Faridah Ajmal Perfumes LLC as a supporting sponsor. Additionally, the Federal National Council and Najmat Al Safa have also extended their support to the event.

The Wadi Al Helou branch is hosting a discussion session titled "Women's Journey Towards Excellence" featuring lawyer Sheikha Al Kindi and Dr. Fatima Al Shaer. Additionally, the Dibba Al Hisn branch will be offering a workshop on "Decoupage on Candles."
