Al Shamsi: Advanced societies are built on education

His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, said in a speech on the occasion of the new academic year 2024-2025: "My brothers, teachers, sons and daughters, students, I am pleased to congratulate you on the advent of the new academic year 2024-2025. I hope that it will be a sincere academic year, in which children will be determined to gain knowledge, and to strive passionately to acquire more knowledge. Education is not just an academic journey, but rather the solid foundation on which advanced societies are built, and it is the future that you are building with your own hands today. Every step you take in this journey is a brick added to build our dear country.

My dear sons, your return to the realm of science and knowledge embodies the beginning of a new chapter in your journey towards excellence, where hopes are renewed and horizons expand with unwavering determination and a will that does not recognise the impossible. You must always realise that knowledge and hard work are the key to building a strong and secure society, you are our hope and our true wealth, and with God's grace and with your determination, our country will continue its journey towards leadership and excellence at all levels.
