Sharjah 24: Sharjah Children, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, wrapped up its "Best Summer" camp, held at 12 centres across Sharjah. The camp, running from July 13 to August 8, engaged over 1,500 children aged 6-12 in a fun and enriching environment.
The summer camp featured around 45 specialised programmes and workshops designed to develop and enhance children's talents across various fields. In fine arts, children excelled in creating innovative artworks, including drawing, clay sculpting, and learning the fundamentals of these techniques. They also participated in workshops on portraiture, photography, and crafting resin accessories.

In the Robot Adventures programme, children gained scientific skills and honed their abilities in science and technology. The programme fosters critical thinking, creativity, and the completion of electronic technology projects.

In the "Story in a Profession" workshop, the children had a blast learning about different careers through stories and solving related challenges. In the "Story Workshop," they used their creativity to design and create picture books and convert them into digital stories. They also enjoyed other workshops like story scenes and reading tune.

In the realm of life skills, the children learned the basics of agriculture, healthy nutrition, and the importance of good values and behavioural skills through the various workshops offered at the camp.

In the theatre workshops, participants learned expressive language and body language through silent theater, and they also created characters and performed scenes using shadow puppets.

To encourage children to engage in sports, they participated in various challenges including climbing, gymnastics, fencing, chess, football, and basketball. They also joined the "Sports Incubators" program to develop skills in judo, taekwondo, archery, and fencing.

In the entertainment learning programmes, children delved into imaginative worlds and took on theatrical roles, while also honing craft skills by creating wooden models.

Sharjah Children organised over 10 recreational trips for summer camp participants to various destinations across the Emirate of Sharjah. Highlights included Sharjah International Airport, Sharjah Science Museum, Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation, Rain Room, Sharjah Aquarium, and the Arabia’s Wildlife Centre.

Throughout the summer camp, numerous workshops were conducted at the Al Hamriyah Area Council, part of the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department. These workshops aimed to engage the region's children, making the most of their summer vacation by honing their talents and developing their skills.

Notably, the summer camp benefited from the active participation of a group of exceptional children and their parents, who contributed by presenting various programs and workshops.
