Sharjah24: Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” organised a panel discussion under the title “Youth and Leadership” which coincides with the International Youth Day. Number of employees participated at the workshop that highlighted their experiences, success stories, the challenges they faced and how to overcome them, as well as couple of advices and opinions.
The panel was held in the presence of Nabil bin Ashour, President of UAE Handball Federation and Vice President of the Arab Paddle Federation, as well as the participation of Eng. Hanadi Al Kabouri, Executive Director of Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club.
The panel highlighted the importance of sustainability in the thinking of young people and its impact on the future by reviewing many initiatives and proposals. It also comprised the role of the wise leadership and its great belief in encouraging young people who possess many capabilities that would contribute to enabling them to lead development efforts and adopt initiatives that achieve the vision and strategy of UAE in all fields and sectors.
In addition, the panel reviewed the importance of International Youth Day in consolidating the concepts of youth leadership in various aspects of life and the unlimited support of the wise leadership of UAE community, which helped in reaching global achievements in various aspects.
Commenting on that, Abdelaziz Omar Al Midfa, Deputy Director of Government Communication Department at SEDD, stated that these panels come in implementation of the insightful visions of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in to support and empower the young generation and involving them in decision-making process. Also, Al Midfa emphasized that Department supports all efforts that enhance the status of youth in the emirate, and adopts initiatives that support their roles in all fields of work and give them the confidence that enables them to highlight all their talents and capabilities at all levels.
Additionally, Al Midfa said that UAE is a major incubator for the aspirations and ambitions of young people through its support and encouragement of many initiatives and programs that provide them with a wide scope to participate in building a better future for themselves. Also, Al Midfa added that Sharjah has a unique experience in the field of empowering youth and investing in their energies and capabilities as the basic development tool capable of leading society towards a better future.
