Sharjah24: In a demonstration of solidarity, compassion, and generosity, the Big Heart Foundation (TBHF) is launching its "Back to School" campaign to support the new academic year 2024-2025. This initiative aims to provide essential school supplies to students from low-income families residing in the UAE, specifically those enrolled at the Big Heart Learning Centre in Sharjah. The campaign will run from August 12 to August 30, 2024, to ensure these students can continue their education and experience joy and excitement as they return to school.
As families prepare to buy school supplies and uniforms for the upcoming academic year, some face difficulties due to financial constraints. This campaign seeks to address those needs and embody the spirit of solidarity and compassion.
The "Back to School" campaign focuses on supporting the beneficiaries of the Big Heart Learning Centre in Sharjah, which provides high-quality educational solutions and practices for residing students from low-income backgrounds in the UAE. The center supports over 200 students from various nationalities, meeting their educational, social, and psychological needs.
The campaign offers several support packages: the First Package: For a donation of 250 AED, one student will receive a complete set of school supplies, including a school bag, pencil case, pencil box, 5 pens, an eraser, a sharpener, a geometry box, 5 ruled notebooks, and a water bottle.
The Second Package, which aims to support educational continuity, is divided into 3 groups, including, 500 AED covers one month’s tuition for a single student; 6,600 AED covers one student’s tuition for a full academic year; and 105,000 AED supports tuition for 15 students in one class. Donations can be made through the website www.tbhf.ae.
Alya Obaid Al Musaibi, Head of Media at TBHF, said: "The Big Heart Foundation has committed itself to empowering families and communities in need around the world. Over the past decade, the foundation has led various campaigns and initiatives, allowing benefactors and individuals to fulfill their social responsibilities. These efforts highlight the compassion, solidarity, and humanitarian spirit of the UAE."
Al Musaibi emphasized that the campaign’s objectives are to ensure that resident students from low-income families in the UAE receive the necessary school supplies for the new year, create a safe and stable learning environment, and help children and young people achieve their potential and develop their skills.
She added that the Big Heart Foundation believes in education as a fundamental right, which is why the "Back to School" campaign was launched to assist with providing essential supplies to residing students from low-income families at the Big Heart Learning Centre in Sharjah, ensuring their educational journey continues smoothly and bringing joy to their lives.
