Sharjah 24: The Khorfakkan Parents Council, affiliated with the of Sharjah Districts Affairs Department, concluded the activities of the “Word Makers” and “Council Ambassadors” programmes, on Thursday, after organising them over three days in the suburbs of Al Subaihiyah and Khorfakkan.
The two activities, which were implemented in the morning and evening, were characterised by innovative and rich programmes and remarkable participation.
The “Word Makers” programme witnessed remarkable success, as the first session was held over three days full of creative activities and literary workshops. The programme aimed to explore and enhance students’ literary and innovative capabilities by offering interactive workshops and various activities that encourage creative expression and stimulate literary imagination.
The programme was led by trainer Haya Al Qassim, a children’s literature writer and childhood reading consultant, who inspired and supported the students in developing their writing and critical thinking skills. Al Qassim presented the programme’s themes, which included enhancing literary skills and developing innovative writing styles.
In the context of enhancing leadership capabilities and social skills, the “Council Ambassadors” programme was launched under the supervision of Abdulrahman Al Omari, a trainer specialising in leadership skills for children. This programme aims to establish distinguished young leaders by providing them with the necessary leadership and ethical skills.
The programme targeted students between the ages of twelve and fifteen, and focused on enhancing the concept of leadership and forming successful social personalities. In addition, the programme included theoretical and practical activities that familiarised participants with the role of the Parents Council and enhanced their fruitful social participation.
It is worth noting that both programmes converged in their visions and goals towards generating social initiatives that contribute to preparing generations, enriching the implemented activities and enhancing the social spirit among young people.
The events succeeded in highlighting the positive interaction of the participants, which reflects the commitment of the Parents Council under the umbrella and goals of the Districts Affairs Department in providing distinguished educational programmes that contribute to building a promising generation capable of leadership and creativity.
At the end of the two events, the participants and contributors were honoured, and thanks were extended for all the efforts made to make these two events a success, which support the future of youth and help them achieve their full potential in serving the nation and society.
