Sharjah 24: Mleiha Sports Club concluded the activities of the Sharjah Sports Summer Programme, which lasted a whole month under the slogan "Our Holiday is Different".
The activities started on July 1 and continued until August 1, as the programme saw different activities and events over five weeks, attracting a large number of participants of different ages.
The closing of the Sharjah Sports Summer Programme reviewed the great success achieved by the club, while emphasising the continuation of efforts to provide more initiatives and activities that meet the aspirations of society and contribute to achieving development and progress
The activities of the Sharjah Sports Summer at Mleiha Club included a variety of carefully coordinated programmes, covering sports, cultural and national aspects. The sports activities included competitions and physical games, while the cultural activities included educational visits and workshops. Training courses were also organised to contribute to developing participants skills.
The closing ceremony held at the club began with the national anthem, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by participant Mohammed Abdul Rahim.
Mansour Rashid Al Ketbi, the general supervisor of the activity highlighted the achievements made during the programme period and praised the level of interaction from participants and the effectiveness of the activities.
Participant Ahmed Abdul Shafi also delivered a speech on behalf of the members, in which he expressed his appreciation for the efforts made and the opportunities given during the programme.
Following the speeches, a video was shown summarising the events that the club saw throughout the month, which highlighted the special moments and prominent participations in the various activities.
The celebration honoured the entities cooperating with Mleiha Club in organising the events, and honoured the distinguished participants who were creative and demonstrated remarkable interaction throughout the programme.
His Excellency Abdullah Salem Khasouni Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Club, distributed awards and certificates of appreciation to the honourees, expressing his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.
In a statement after the end of the events, His Excellency Abdullah Salem Khasouni Al Ketbi confirmed that the Sharjah Summer Sports Programme under the slogan "Our Holiday is Different" achieved its goals thanks to the great support from all concerned parties and participants.
Khasouni expressed his pride in the wonderful organisation and participants’ positive interaction, praising the efforts made by the team supervising the activities. Khasouni added that the club aims to continue providing distinctive programmes that enhance the comprehensive development of members of all ages and contribute to building a cohesive and creative society.
