The event was attended by His Excelelncy Rashid Al Mahyan, Chairman of the Central Region Parents Council, His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of Mleiha Sports Club, and Her Excellency Dr. Huda Al Matroushi, President of the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation. They were joined by several distinguished sports and administrative figures, the athletes' families, and a wide representation of the club’s members.
This ceremony reflected Mleiha Sports Club’s unwavering commitment to supporting and motivating national talent, reaffirming its role in nurturing young athletes from the Mleiha region and guiding them towards success. The club continues to play a crucial role in elevating the UAE's sports achievements both regionally and internationally.
The event commenced with the UAE national anthem, followed by an opening speech expressing the club’s immense pride in the achievements of its athletes. Dr. Huda Al Matroushi then took the stage to deliver a speech in which she commended the dedication and skill of the players and coaches. She highlighted that their success is a reflection of their unwavering commitment and advanced abilities. Dr. Al Matroushi also acknowledged the vital role that Mleiha Sports Club plays in fostering young talent, noting the Federation’s ongoing support for athletes and their preparation for upcoming competitions, including international events.
Dr. Al Matroushi expressed her sincere gratitude to Mleiha Sports Club for organising this celebration and recognising the athletes’ outstanding efforts. She praised the players’ performances and their strong competitiveness during the championship.
Following this, a short video presentation was shown, showcasing the most memorable moments of the athletes’ participation in the competition and the key moments when they won their gold medals. The video added an atmosphere of excitement and pride to the event.
The ceremony honoured the Mleiha athletes who won gold medals, including Dhiyab Omar Saeed Al Ketbi, Abdullah Issa Ahmed Al Ali, and Salem Tamim Salem Humaid Al Ketbi, all of whom are under 13 and part of the national team. The event also recognised Coach Mohammed Qasim Khalil, who served as the technical supervisor for the athletes during the competition, for his invaluable support and continued efforts. Additionally, Hamad Tamim Al Ketbi, Head of the Individual Sports Committee at Mleiha Sports Club, was honoured for his active role in this achievement and for accompanying the sports delegation.
The ceremony also recognised a number of outstanding athletes from Ittihad Kalba Club, including Mohammed Rashid Obaid Al Balbali, Salem Mohammed Obaid Al Darmaki, and Muheir Manei Mousa Darwish, for their exceptional performances in the Federation’s activities.
At the end of the ceremony, the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation presented a commemorative shield to Mleiha Sports Club, which was accepted by His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni. In return, the club presented a token of appreciation to His Excellency Rashid Al Mahyan in recognition of his ongoing support for community and sports activities.
A group photo was then taken, capturing the proud moment and celebrating the achievements of the UAE’s youth in the realm of sports.
Following the ceremony, His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of Mleiha Sports Club, expressed his deep pride in the accomplishments of the athletes. He attributed this success to the support of the UAE’s sports leadership, the cooperation of technical and administrative teams, the dedication of the players, and the involvement of their families. He stressed that Mleiha Sports Club remains committed to supporting national talent and will continue to contribute to the journey of excellence through the participation of its Emirati athletes in various competitions.
