Sharjah 24: Khaled Al Mazmi, Sharjah International Marine Sports Club competitor, set a new global record by winning the first round of the World Jet Ski Championship in the Expert Runabout category. Over 200 contestants from various countries participated in the tournament, which took place in Poland from June 22 to 28.
In addition, George Casa, a club athlete, finished third and won the bronze medal in the open category for top pros, preparing them for the next round in the United States in October and the final round in Thailand in December 2024.
The contestants expressed their happiness with the results by standing on the podium and hoisting the national flag at the European Jet Ski Championship, which was overseen by the International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA) and featured participants from 30 countries around the world.
