Sharjah 24: The Sharjah 17 boat, captained by Rusty Wyatt, clinched the main race title in the third round of the Formula 1 World Powerboat Championship held yesterday, Sunday, in Olbia, Italy, featuring 18 participating boats.
The Emirati boat claimed the title after leading and excelling in 40 laps, the race's full duration. Frenchman Peter Morin, representing the Chinese team in boat 7, secured second place, while Polish racer Patrick Marszczyk took third in boat 77.

At the end of this stage, the Sharjah 17 boat led the tournament standings with 77 points, following an outstanding performance in the round.

The Abu Dhabi 5 boat, led by Emirati champion Thani Al Qamzi, who was in second place until the moment of breakdown, and the Abu Dhabi 6 boat, led by Alberto Cambrato, also experienced mechanical failures.

The coronation ceremony was graced by Khaled Jassim Al Midfa, Vice President of the UAE Marine Sports Federation and Chairman of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, alongside Ahmed Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club and Member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Marine Sports Federation.
