Sharjah24: Jassim Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, and Ahmed Al Salman, Chairman of the Supervision and Follow-up Committee at the Sharjah Sports Council, launched the "I am a Volunteer" week at the Mleiha Sports Club as part of the Sharjah Sports Summer Initiative with the theme "Our Holiday is Different."
Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Mleiha Club, graced the opening event in the presence of members of the Summer Activity Follow-up Committee from the Sharjah Sports Council and Mohammed Musabah, Supervisor of the Age Groups of Football.

The inaugural event took place at the club’s headquarters, underscoring Mleiha Sports Club's dedication to hosting activities aimed at fostering the personal growth and experiences of youth and adolescents during their summer break. The focus is on improving their skills and readying them for a bright future through impactful community collaborations.

The day kicked off with the recitation and intonation of the Holy Quran, in partnership with the Sharjah Foundation for the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

The next event was a lecture titled "Engaging Youth in Volunteerism," conducted in collaboration with the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work. The lecture delved into the significance of volunteerism in youth development and strategies for engaging them in community initiatives. The session garnered substantial engagement from the audience and motivated them to take an active part in volunteer work.

As part of the "Giving and Healing" initiative, the members of the activity visited Al Dhaid Hospital to offer support and assistance to the patients and the hospital staff. This initiative seeks to promote generosity within the community and provide aid where needed.

On the inaugural day, the event featured the "Giving Caravans" project, through which participants dispensed water and coolers to laborers. This endeavor seeks to offer assistance to workers and bolster the spirit of communal obligation and togetherness during the sweltering summer season.

The recent initiatives align with Maliha Sports Club's ongoing efforts to advance the principles of volunteerism and community engagement. These endeavors aim to create avenues for active participation in activities that foster teamwork and contribute to community development.
