Members of ‘Al Dhaid Youth’ acquired many skills since joining the activities that extends for two months until the end of August, where they learned the skills of drawing and printing on fabrics in innovative ways, in a specialised workshop held in cooperation with Al Dhaid Wildlife Centre, in addition to mastering the skills of drawing and shaping with thread and nails, known as the art of "philography".
In order to encourage the discovery of new artistic skills that contribute to enhancing innovation among youth, the centre's members participated in a group of different artistic and skill workshops in traditional handicrafts and contemporary arts, in addition to acquiring the basics of fishing using modern methods, and learning about the marine environment, during a specialised course held in a fun and entertaining atmosphere.
Al Dhaid Youth members participate with their peers from Sharjah Youth Centres in the Central Region, including Al Thameed Youth, Al Madam Youth and Mleiha Youth, in the Thursday Sports Challenge, held every Thursday at one of the youth centres in the Central Region, with the aim of developing skills of members in the sports track and includes various championships in indoor football, swimming, water polo and many other sports activities that enhance the balanced personality of the youth. Activities also included the Ajyalouna initiative, which aims to instill Emirati values in the souls of members and train them in Emirati craftsmanship, in cooperation with Al Bustan Suburb Council in Al Dhaid, in addition to the book club activities that seek to spread the culture of reading and establish an educated generation of members of the centre, in addition to cultural competitions and the entertainment Saturday, which includes trips directed to landmarks in the Emirate of Sharjah.
