Sharjah24: Members of Sharjah Youth, affiliated with Rubu’ Qarn, crafted innovative wooden tables using resin art. Their work showcased their ability to engage with modern art and utilize available technologies to create aesthetically appealing pieces.
This came during participation in the skills laboratory, organised by Sharjah Youth, for the third year in a row in its centres in Wasit, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Dibba Al Hisn, as part of the “Your Summer With Us 2024” activities, under the motto “Where Skill Meets Fun,” within the framework of the work of the Fine Arts Laboratory.

The members participated in a learning program focused on training young people in handicraft arts, specifically in the use of epoxy. Epoxy is a crucial material in decorative work and the creation of various artistic pieces.

The program was about teaching people how to design and make tables using different materials and techniques. It also showed how to work with natural wood, make table templates, and finish the wood using sandpaper.

The participants acquired the skill of mixing epoxy in the correct proportions, mixing it with wood to create creative color effects, and polishing it. They also learned to use a brush to paint wood with special oils to protect it and maintain its durability.

The program's significance lies in its ability to spark the creativity of participants, empowering them to craft wood into a diverse array of home decorations and artistic tables. This process fosters their imaginative skills and enhances their capacity to boost handicraft productivity through innovative and creative designs. The program operates as a model that integrates ongoing learning with artistic ingenuity.
