The visit comes within the activities of Parliament’s programme of the fourth meeting of the third session, which is characterised by holding workshops and carrying out specialised and purposeful visits.
APC members visited Sharjah Aquarium, where they toured the pavilions and facilities that included models of the marine life of the Emirate of Sharjah, and saw various types of fish and marine creatures.
The aquarium organisers provided a comprehensive explanation to the Arab children, exploring the mysterious, colourful, and amazing world of the sea.
During the scientific visit, the children were introduced to various marine creatures, and they also saw clown fish, delicate seahorses, eels, sea rays, reef sharks, and mangrove trees.
At the conclusion of the tour, Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of APC, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the management of Sharjah Aquarium for their warm reception during the scientific visit organised by the Parliament for its members.
Al Barout praised the efforts made in organising the trip and providing a detailed explanation of the aquariums and various marine organisms, expressing his appreciation for the valuable educational opportunity that allowed children to explore the marine world directly and interactively.
Al Barout explained that this rich programme that precedes the plenary session for Arab children constitutes an important cycle of preparation that Parliament adopts for its members in the context of qualifying and empowering them with the necessary tools, experience and knowledge to be among the promising Arab competencies.
