Hessa Al-Hamadi, the Director of the Community Solidarity Department, invited members of the community, institutions, and departments from all sectors to participate in this project, which falls under the umbrella of corporate social responsibility projects, in order to spread joy to all children during Eid al-Adha. This can be done through the boxes or monetary donations deposited into the children's bank accounts.
Al-Hamadi pointed out that "Eid Joy" boxes are currently available at City Centre Al Zahia in Sharjah, where there is a dedicated corner for distribution to those who wish to participate by purchasing clothes or gifts from "Al Zahia" and placing them in the box according to the requests received by the volunteers in the corner. This also allows children to pack their gifts for their counterparts in the box, giving them a sense of happiness while performing this task, which instills in them a sense of responsibility and community participation from a young age. After that, the boxes are prepared for distribution by a group of volunteers to the children at their homes two days before the blessed Eid al-Adha.
Al-Hamadi explained that the gifts include both material and non-material items for children from newborns up to 18 years old, who are the children of beneficiaries of the department and children from affiliated orphanages. The "Eid Joy" project was launched in 2013 with the aim of involving community institutions in bringing happiness to children, either through material gifts or by transferring monetary gifts directly to the child's bank account or to a representative.
