Sharjah24: The second week of Sharjah's Sports Summer "Our Vacation is Different", held under the theme "I am an Athlete", witnessed great success with impressive participation from members of various clubs in the emirate and tremendous enthusiasm and wonderful turnout. It included a variety of events that everyone enjoyed, including sporting and religious competitions, electronic sports, various visits, educational and health workshops, Quran memorization, and courses such as the Tourist Guide and Sports Commentator competition, in addition to outdoor field visits to tourist and historical sites in the emirate, which the participants interacted with. The Council also received members of the Al Batayeh Cultural and Sports Club to get to know the various departments and sections and distribute promotional gifts.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, visited the Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club and followed the Water Sports Festival, attended by His Excellency Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, Dr. Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, Director of Sports and Community Events Department and Chairman of the Organizing Committee and General Supervisor of Sharjah Sports Summer.
The festival included water sports such as swimming, obstacle crossing, and kayak racing. The Al Dhaid Club won the first place cup, Al Hamriyah Club won second place, and Mlieha Club won third place. Al Hazami praised the great organization and enthusiasm of the members of the Al Hamriyah Club and all the clubs, confirming the continued success of the program and commending the efforts of everyone, from the organizing committee, the clubs, and all who contributed to this distinction. The summer program's activities will continue with the third week, which will be under the theme of "National Identity" .
