Sharjah 24: As part of the Sharjah Summer Sports activities of the Sharjah Sports Council , the Mleiha Cultural Sports Club organised the cultural competition “Your Holiday is Different” for the year 2024, directed to the clubs of the Emirate of Sharjah.
This competition comes within a series of events and programmes organized by the Mleiha Club, sponsored by the Sharjah Sports Council, with the aim of developing youth skills and enhancing cultural and social awareness, within the framework of the Emirate of Sharjah’s vision to support youth and sports activities.
The competition activities were attended by His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Abdullah Salem Khasouni Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mleiha Club, Ahmed Salman, Head of the Sports and Community Initiatives and Events Department at the Sharjah Sports Council, Abdulrahman Muhair Al Ketbi, Member of the Board of Directors of the Mleiha Club, and Salem Bin Jarash, Member of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Club.
The competition witnessed wide participation from the Emirate's clubs, including Mleiha Club, Al Bataeh Club, Al Madam Club, Al Dhaid Club, Dibba Al Hisn Club, Khorfakkan Club, Kalba Club, and Sharjah Ladies Club, Wadi Al Hilo branch.
This competition highlighted the importance of general information and its great impact on club participants, by enhancing their knowledge and developing their intellectual skills.
In his speech during the beginning of the competition, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami expressed his pride in the high level demonstrated by the participating clubs, praising their efforts in spreading culture and promoting the spirit of fair competition among young people.
He added that these events represent an important step towards strengthening community ties and developing sports and cultural talent in the Emirate.
Abdullah Salem Khasuni Al Ketbi pointed out the importance of this competition in discovering and developing young talents, stressing Mleiha Club’s continued support for sports and cultural activities that contribute to building a conscious and educated generation.
After rounds of intense and exciting competition, the results resulted in Al Madam Club winning first place, while Al Dhaid Club came in second place, and Sharjah Ladies Club, Wadi Al Hilo Branch, came in third place.
Issa Hilal Al Hazami and Abdullah Salem Khasuni Al Ketbi honoured the winners, handing them shields and certificates of appreciation, in a festive atmosphere that reflects the positive competitive spirit and dedication to achieving success.
