Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Capability Development (Tatweer) announces the next session of Ruwaq programme titled “Reading Club”, which will be held on Saturday, July 20, from 11 am to 1:30 pm at the House of Wisdom, with the aim of providing an incubating environment for lovers of culture and literature.
The next Ruwaq session will discuss the novel “The Cat Who Saved Books,” which is a Japanese novel by the author Sōsuke Natsukawa. It has been translated into more than 35 languages around the world and has achieved the highest sales since its release. It is considered one of the most important modern literary works in Asian literature. It tackles an important social issue in a creative way. 

As for the Ruwaq programme, it is the first literary programme organised by Sharjah Capability Development (Tatweer), and it consists of a group of literary activities that enhance the participant’s ability to tell stories and read and aims to create a society that loves literature in all its forms. This initiative is based on making room for literature lovers to engage in purposeful and creative dialogues and discussions about different topics, such as the role of women in literature.
