Sharjah 24: Mahra bin Falah Al Mansouri, institutional communication coordinator at the Sharjah Centre for Learning Difficulties (SCLD), stated that the centre launched the first academic summer programme for people with learning difficulties, and it continues until July 11, under the theme “Together We Learn.”
She said that the programme aims to develop students’ skills and encourage them to invest their time during the summer period, to hone their talents and provide them with field skills and experiences.
She added, in statements to “Sharjah 24,” that the programme includes various activities that focus on the academic aspect and cognitive skills of the student, in addition to the linguistic and functional aspects, and developing listening and speaking skills.
She noted that the summer programme includes a group of lectures and educational sessions for families, in addition to recreational activities to activate the self-advocacy programme for students, and provide them with psychological support and a stimulating environment during the summer period.
