Sharjah 24: Emirati artist, Dr. Habib Ghuloum, stated that the Emirati Theatre Day was honoured to coincide with the birthday of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on July 2, to be a date to celebrate Emirati theatre.
He stated that local and Arab theatre artists are grateful for what His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has provided for the theatre, adding, “We pledge to provide everything we have to serve the Emirati theatre.”
He pointed out, in statements to “Sharjah 24,” that it is great to honour an elite group of creative artists who have given a lot to the Emirati theatre over more than 5 decades, in addition to honouring a group of winners of various awards inside and outside the country, and this is adds to the work of the Theatrical Association in the UAE.
