Rabab Abdulwahab reported that the city has kept pace with advancements and benefited from the field of robotics and artificial intelligence, utilizing them to serve individuals with disabilities. This was achieved through communication and coordination with the Ministry of Education at the outset to participate in a series of robotics and artificial intelligence competitions. The aim was to empower students to develop their technical skills in modern technologies at an early age and foster their love for creativity and innovation.
Rabab added that the city organized an internal competition among the students for the third consecutive year, targeting all categories of individuals with disabilities in the city, including those with mild to moderate cognitive abilities. The number of participants for this year reached 29 students.
She emphasized that the competition aims to promote cognitive knowledge about robotics and artificial intelligence and their role in scientific and technological progress. It also aims to equip the city's students with scientific and practical skills in dealing with some robotics and artificial intelligence systems, and to strive towards providing a nurturing environment for innovations and inventions in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence . Additionally, there are plans to establish a robotics club for individuals with disabilities, with its headquarters located in the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services.
