Through the lecture, which took place at the council headquarters in Sharjah, the council emphasized the importance of inclusive education and its role in empowering people with disabilities. The joint efforts converged in the context of community development by activating the cultural roles of the council and raising awareness among families and residents of the suburb.
The lecture, which was held on Wednesday morning, was attended by His Excellency Khalafan Saeed Al Mari, the Chairman of the Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, Deputy President Mohammed Rashid bin Jarsh, member Ali Hamad bin Siefan, member Mohammed Hamad Al Sari, and council employees Hamed Al Hammadi and Hamdan Al Mari. It was also attended by a number of residents and parents in the suburb, as well as supervisors and teachers from the suburb's schools, including Khawla Bint Tha'laba School, Sheikha Meera Bint Mohammed Al Suwaidi School, and Al Khalidiyah Boys School. A group of specialists from the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services also participated.
The lecture was delivered by Du'a Al Daridi, the supervisor of the Inclusive Education Unit, who shed light on the importance of raising awareness among families about the role and significance of inclusive education for people with disabilities, enabling them to fulfill their roles in society and become partners in the development process. She also addressed the role of families in reducing bullying and shared a number of success stories.
At the end of the interactive lecture, Khalafan Saeed Al Mari, the Chairman of the Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and the lecture for their fruitful cooperation with the council in promoting community and educational awareness.
The attendees, representing the residents of the suburb, also expressed their appreciation, highlighting the council's commitment to actively engage in initiatives and activities aimed at improving the roles of various segments of society to serve the residents of the suburb within its jurisdiction.
