The system has only covered hotels since its inception in 2016, but this year it underwent modifications and expansion to include movie theatres.
Atif Al Zarouni, Director of Support Services at Sharjah City Municipality, confirmed that the municipality is constantly updating and developing its services for the public, as well as all institutions and centres, in accordance with the emirate's digital transformation strategy and commitment to providing high-quality services. These initiatives improve the emirate's reputation as a desirable place for living, tourism, and investment, simplify customer journeys, and achieve the greatest rates of service delivery, all with simplicity and comfort.
The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority and the Sharjah Central Finance Department collaborated on the system upgrade, according to Hamad Al Hammadi, Director of the Financial Affairs Department.
