Sharjah24: In the first quarter of this year, Sharjah City Municipality (SM) reported a 26% increase in rental contracts compared to the same period last year. This gain is a result of the emirate's active development and expansion in all areas.
Sharjah City Municipality's Director of the Rental Regulation Department, Abdullah Al Shuhail, stressed that the rental contract is a legally binding instrument that the municipality authorises to protect the interests of the landlord and the tenant. The municipality has provided various options for document verification to simplify the verification process for stakeholders, ensuring the document's official and genuine recognition.
The municipality certified 81,921 rental contracts in the first quarter of this year, up from 64,878 in the same period last year, according to Abdullah Al Shuhail. This further establishes the emirate's position as a premier destination for residents, offering first-rate services and amenities.
