Additionally, 70 inspectors oversee checks at men's barbershops and women's beauty centres. Furthermore, 33 inspectors ensure adherence to health regulations and safety procedures, with the primary objective being strict compliance with health standards and safety protocols and the delivery of top-notch services in accordance with the highest health and safety specifications.
Supervisory operations at the livestock market and Sharjah slaughterhouse have been strengthened, with the number of veterinarians increased to 15 to supervise the examination of sacrificial animals before and after slaughter to ensure their safety and freedom from diseases or their vectors. Moreover, all market pens have been disinfected to remove disease vectors, and awareness leaflets have been distributed to educate visitors about selecting healthy sacrifices and their specifications. The municipality will enhance its oversight of livestock shipments, conducting veterinary examinations to ensure their safety, in addition to spraying operations to eliminate diseases and their vectors.
Al Tunaiji further stated that inspection teams have increased their readiness to intensify patrols during the holiday to monitor negative behaviors and phenomena that distort the general appearance, such as street butchers. The municipality has cautioned against seeking their assistance due to public health and environmental hazards. Additionally, inspection campaigns will prevent the sale of fireworks and crackers due to the danger they pose, particularly to children, as these items contain harmful substances. The municipality has prohibited their sale, organized continuous inspection campaigns, and created awareness among the public.
The municipality has also readied all the city beaches for the anticipated high demand during Eid, increasing the numbers of lifeguards and inspectors, and educating the public about swimming in accordance with instructions and guidelines.
Regarding public parking, the municipality has announced that parking will be free on the first, second, and third days of Eid, except in areas subject to fees throughout the week and official holidays. This information can be verified through blue signboards indicating restricted parking. The municipality aims to provide public parking in tourist and commercial places, especially during Eid, and requests the public to use parking lots correctly and to avoid negative practices.
Sharjah Municipality has established working hours for providing various services during the Eid Al Adha holiday, which have been published on its social media accounts in both Arabic and English. Furthermore, the call centre at number 993 is prepared to receive comments, reports, and inquiries from the public throughout the week and around the clock.
