Sharjah 24: Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, expressed his delight at attending the signing of a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation between the University of Sharjah and the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club.
Al Hazami said, "It is an honour to collaborate with the University of Sharjah, an esteemed academic institution established by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. This partnership reflects the Sharjah Sports Council’s commitment to partnering with scientific institutions in the Emirate, ensuring project sustainability through scientific and academic approaches. Our students across different departments will design and produce boats, enhancing engine efficiency through mechanical and electrical means powered by clean energy."
Present at the agreement signing were Dr. Nadia Al Hosani, Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Design; Dr. Salama Al Rahoumi, Dean of Female Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Khalil Abdel Mawjoud, Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering; Ahmed Issa Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club; and Humaid Khalfan Al Kindi, Member of the Club’s Board of Directors.
