Sharjah Sports Club new BoD holds its first meeting

The meeting saw the distribution of administrative portfolios and a review of the strategic directions to advance all departments and sports teams in the club during the coming period, focusing on caring for talents, excellence in performance and institutional work that serves the club’s goals and strategy.

At the beginning of the meeting, Khaled Issa Al Midfa and members of the Board of Dierctors extended their highest thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his precious trust, blessing, and unlimited support for sports and athletes. The Council also extended thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for his support and constant follow-up, which contributed to the development of the sports movement in the smiling emirate. The Council appreciated the follow-up and support of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah for Sports in Sharjah, and the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, for sports activities in the emirate.

The Board of Directors also praised the role of Sharjah Sports Council and the continuous efforts and follow-up of His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Council. The Board also thanked the previous club management headed by His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, and all the departments that passed through the Sharjah Sports Club, for their sincere efforts made over the past years.

The Board affirmed its commitment to maintaining the gains and taking care of the club’s members, and ensuring that the achievements continue to be added to Sharjah Sports Club, pointing out the importance of hard work and proper planning to ensure achievement of the desired goals and highlight the club’s position in all games and at all levels.

The Board of Directors approved the continuation of the Football Company in performing its duties under the chairmanship of His Excellency Khaled Issa Al Midfa until the completion of the restructuring of the Board of Directors.

Nasser Saeed bin Afsan assumed financial management. Strategy management and leadership were assigned to Tariq. Jassim Al Midfa. Ibrahim Mohammed Al Jarwan heads the management of the Investment and Commercial Development Company, while the management of group games is headed by Mohammed Obaid Al Hussan. Eng. Suleiman Abdul Rahman Abdullah was appointed head of the Individual Games Department; and Muhammad Ali Al Hammadi was assigned the task of head of the Legal Department, while the head of the Public Relations and Media Department was assigned to Muhammad Abdullah Bourahima.
