Sharjah 24: Al Kharous Council, affiliated with Sharjah Districts Affairs Department, organised the “Eid Fawala” event on the second day of Eid Al Adha, with the aim of spreading joy among the people of the suburb.
This annual event comes within the framework of the council’s keenness to revive customs and traditions and enhance rapprochement and relations between families.
“Eid Fawala” is one of the inherited events that Al Kharous District Council is keen to organise annually, as its roots extend to authentic Emirati customs and traditions.
The chairman and members of the council participated in the event, in addition to a large gathering of people who came to celebrate the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
The event provided the opportunity for attendees to chat about Eid customs and their social role in enhancing cohesion between families.
The event included many activities that contributed to spreading the atmosphere of Eid and joy, which reflected the spirit of cohesion among the people of the suburb.
In a statement, Juma Al Mughni, Chairman of Al Kharous Council, said that by organising this event, the council seeks to strengthen social ties between the people of the suburb and celebrate Eid. This occasion is a valuable opportunity to introduce children to Emirati customs in welcoming Eid Al Adha and to develop communication between everyone.
Al Mughni added that this event carries within it the legacy of the grandfathers and fathers, as gatherings and celebrations on holiday occasions were an integral part of Emirati social life, and by reviving them, the council seeks to strengthen national identity and instill the values of interconnection and cohesion between generations, which contributes to transmitting this cultural heritage from generation to generation.
Al Mughni pointed out that this event is not just a passing celebration, but rather a living embodiment of the spirit of Eid and its atmosphere full of love and harmony, which ensures the continuation of these traditions.
