The ceremony began with the performance of the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, delivered a speech highlighting that this ceremony celebrates a new batch of students from the University of Sharjah who are equipped with knowledge and the necessary skills to enter the job market. He affirmed that the achievements attained are a result of the foundation laid by the university's founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to make the University of Sharjah at the forefront of universities in the country, region, and the world.
Al Nuaimi added, 'My graduates, all those attended today are delighted with your graduation. We, along with them, wish you success and prosperity in your future. Whether you decide to pursue postgraduate programs or enter the workforce, you must have confidence in the knowledge, expertise, and skills you have acquired at this university”.
The Chancellor of the University of Sharjah concluded his speech by saying, 'Graduating from the university is the most cherished accomplishment in one's educational journey. Each one of you has the right to be proud and esteemed. You should thank Allah Almighty for crowning your efforts over years of hard work, perseverance, dedication, and sacrifice with this success. Today, you have gathered on this precious and timeless platform that will remain etched in your memories. This achievement could not have been realized without the dedication and sacrifice of parents whose tears and hearts are filled with joy and delight in this shared accomplishment.
Graduate Abdulrahman Al-Hosanni delivered a speech on behalf of his fellow graduates, beginning with poetic verses that expressed his pride of being graduated ,then he expressed gratitude and appreciation to His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, for establishing the University of Sharjah as a pioneering academic institution and for the support provided for studying there. He also thanked the President of the University of Sharjah for his efforts in elevating the university to higher levels.
Furthermore, Al Hosanni expressed gratitude to the administrative and teaching staff, as well as everyone who contributed to the students' education and had a positive impact on their university journey. He added, 'Our university has had a significant and influential impact on shaping and developing our personal and leadership skills through the facilities and spaces available to all, the clubs that students join according to their passions, and the student councils that served as a link between us at the university.
Al Hosanni addressed a speech to the parents of the graduates, saying, “Every success we have achieved is nothing but the fruit of your hard work, patience, vigilance, prayers, and the efforts you have exerted for us on the paths of sustenance. Today, we transfer to you the medal of honor and place upon you the crown of pride for our success and excellence. It is your right to rejoice and take pride in your children today”.
Al-Hosanni concluded his speech with advice to his classmates by saying, 'Great expectations are placed upon us, and our aspirations are high, Our determination is as steadfast as mountains. Today, we are armed with the finest knowledge, the highest levels of understanding, and we have acquired many skills and experiences. It is now incumbent upon us to be an integral part in achieving the ambitious vision of our nation. Rise with high aspirations; ambassadors of the University of Sharjah, and let yourselves - in the name of your beloved Emirates - be a shining sun that brightens the world, and radiant lights that fill the sky, Recall the purest pages and create the most remarkable miracles, and achieve the best accomplishments to elevate your status and advance your country. Time does not remember those who possess valuable jewels as much as it remembers those who carry great ideas. So, hold your responsibility, unleash your potential, and renew your energy until your stature touches the stars. Knowledge cheers for action, so that we fulfill our duty to our country and continue the path of goodness and development that our forefathers and ancestors have built.'
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi graciously proceeded to present certificates to the graduates of all Bachelor's programs in the faculties of Business Administration, Communication, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Computing and Informatics, Public Policy, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Sciences, Fine Arts and Design, Law, and Engineering. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed congratulated the graduates and wished them success in their future lives.
