Sultan bin Ahmed attends graduation of UOS’s students

Sharjah24: Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UOS) , attended the graduation ceremony of 643 postgraduate students at UOS. The ceremony was held on Monday at the University City Hall.
During the ceremony, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed delivered a speech on the occasion of the university's celebrations of graduating its students from all stages and academic programs for the academic year 2023/2024.
President of the University of Sharjah said, "My speech today is for all the male and female graduates of the University of Sharjah from various academic majors and degree levels during this graduation season, and we are all proud and delighted with their achievements."
" Perseverance and noble deeds always come in accordance with the determination and efforts of their owners. When the determination is great and the aspiration is sincere, the successes and results are also great and magnificent. You have, as we have known you, achieved success through willpower, determination, and perseverance. You are deserving of this success. Thank you, teachers, students, and parents.
Deputy Ruler of Sharjah added, "When this year sees the graduation of two thousand, two hundred, and thirty-two male and female students, we realize that the increasing number of graduates year after year is a strong indicator of the growing interest in joining the colleges of the university. It is evidence of the achievements and academic reputation that have attracted individuals from all corners of the world. Your university has proven its leadership in education, its ability to achieve educational outcomes that meet scientific aspirations, and its ability to keep up with the changing demands of various job markets, providing its students with the best opportunities."
Sultan Bin Ahmed clarified to the graduates that success was not came by chance. Success is the offspring of diligence and effort, a decision and a goal for those who desire it.

He added, "The university has placed you at the beginning of the journey, and we are sure that you are capable of facing life's challenges. As long as you have set success as your goal and purpose, it will be your ally."

He concluded his speech by  congratulating the graduates and their families by saying, "I extend my congratulations to you on behalf of myself, my colleagues on the Board of Trustees, the University of Sharjah family, and those who have stood by you, supporting and assisting you to reach these precious moments that crown years of hard work, success, dedication, and giving. May Allah grant us and you success in what Allah loves and may Allah guide our steps and yours on the path of success. We wish everyone continued success and prosperity."

The graduation ceremony began with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Then Dr. Humaid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, delivered a speech expressing profound gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the university's founder, for his continuous support and the opportunity he provided by establishing the university, leading the students to this blessed moment. He also expressed gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi for his sponsorship and presence in the graduation ceremony.

Dr. Al Nuaimi explained that one of the most important things that the University of Sharjah has focused on is achieving excellence by expanding the scope of interest in different specializations and academic degrees. The University of Sharjah has become a leading institution that offers master's and doctoral programs. Today, it celebrates the graduation of a group of postgraduate students who will undoubtedly contribute to supplying the community with more specialists, scholars, and professionals who will take on supervisory and executive roles in developmental and national plans with the highest levels of responsibility and competence.

Dr. Al Nuaimi concluded his speech by addressing the male and female graduates, acknowledging the individuals who played a role in their achievement, including their families, supporters, and those who have served them. He invited the graduates to show their appreciation and gratitude to their parents, spouses, and children who stood behind their success.

Graduate Hessa Abdullah Al Hammadi delivered a speech on behalf of her fellow male and female graduates, starting with a quote from the speech of the President of the University of Sharjah regarding the efforts and aspirations of the students during their studies. Al Hammadi extended her thanks and appreciation on behalf of the male and female graduates to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi,  Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the founder of the University of Sharjah, who continues to support and honor the university. She also acknowledged the selection of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, as the President of the University of Sharjah, and his commitment to the development of the institution.

Al-Hammadi thanked the University of Sharjah for instilling in students the love of knowledge and learning through its teaching staff, who were excellent leaders and guides for all male and female graduates. She also praised the support of the parents and guardians who led all students to this anticipated moment and great joy.
Hessa Al-Hammadi concluded her speech through promising that all graduates would be the best ambassadors for the University of Sharjah by saying , 'We promise to be the best ambassadors for the university, showcasing to the world what people of knowledge and determination can achieve in terms of accomplishments and aspirations.

The President of the University of Sharjah then proceeded to hand over the graduation certificates to the male and female graduates, congratulating them on this achievement and wishing them success and prosperity in their future lives.

The graduates of the postgraduate programs are distributed among the academic programs of the various colleges of the university, with a total of 521 master's degree graduates, 102 PHD degree graduates, and 20 graduates in the postgraduate diploma program.
